I took an awesome picture last night. I love storms. They are unpredictable and fascinating. The storm clouds are aggressive; the lightning is brilliant; and the thunder is angry. I love the adrenaline rush it gives. On a warm summer night, the night seems calm as you're sitting outside on your porch. Then suddenly, the wind gently picks up with increasing speed. You look up into the horizon sky... and you know what's coming.

New Toddler Session
I shot my first toddler session earlier this week. It was 6pm and super hot. Little Aiden wanted to run around all over the park. But he was so adorable. I could only pray to have that type of energy again. Ironically, an hour and a half later, I wanted to keep shooting. LOL
I have to admit, I was nervous that all I would be able to deliver were pictures of Aiden running away. I surprised myself. They came out better than I expected and his mother seemed so pleased. I truly hope so. I could tell that he is a very special boy. These memories will last a lifetime. I hope to continue seeing him grow up as well! What a blessing! :)

Senior Pictures
So it's been a few weeks since I've blogged. My Senior Pictures session I had a couple of weeks ago turned out beautifully! I believe Aurora's innocence and beauty was portrayed in each photo. The session took place outside the Aquarium in downtown Chattanooga. We had a lot of fun. Aurora is a natural! Each and every photo of her was absolutely beautiful. It was difficult to pick the best! I'm excited that I will be doing another Senior Session with Aurora again next weekend! Enjoy!

A Little Dreary
My day today at work was very productive. I had all kinds of goals after work to do around the house. But outside grew humid, misty, gray... I took a walk around the yard w/my 11 year old, looking for something alive to jump out at me from the woods. We heard movement. I looked for deer, squirrels, birds, snakes, rabbits... none of them showing their faces. I only captured what grew in the trees or in the grass. I decided to make the pear my daily picture today. I felt it was exquisite, yet a little sad and lonely. I received a text later from my mother that my grandfather is having congestive heart failure. He's been in a nursing home for quite a few years now. Maybe that's why I feel a bit of sadness lingering through my bones. Needless to say, I did not conquer my goals tonight.

Hot Day
Yes, today's heat index was between 100 and 105. However, it was a great day. After work, I worked out for 20 and hit the outdoor swimming pool with my daughter. The water was a warm 90 degrees. But it was nice. I was able to capture a beautiful picture of an Eastern Bluebird. So that it today's daily picture.
Have a great day!!!!!!!!!! (or evening!) :)

A New Business
Dear World! So I have changed the title of this blog. I decided that since I started my photography business this year; I would create a blog to go with it. A way to share photos and thoughts with my customers and fan base.
Just to tell you a little about my business; I have been doing photo sessions for customers since April 2011. It's only been just a couple of months; however, I've had so many satisfied clients. Their excitement is contagious to me as well. I can't wait to post their finished products; so I have used Facebook to keep many clients updated on their photos and editing.
Although I have been interested and active with photography for a few years now; I am so happy to have gotten the chance to do something that I love. I also want to challenge myself to post a daily picture. It doesn't matter what it's a picture of - maybe something that represents my day.
You can check out my informational website at www.angelasimphotography.net. This website will tell you about the products that I have available. You can also go to my photo gallery at www.wix.com/angela_sims/angelasimsphotography. I do everything from Senior Portraits, Maternity, Baby & Family as well as Portrait Sessions. My biggest goal is to conquer weddings. If you are looking for a wedding photographer and you are located in east Tennessee/northern Georgia area - please let me know. My prices are affordable and I strive for the best quality. I want you, my customer, to have fun and laugh doing your photos and to cry from happiness when you see them.
Also, please visit my facebook web page and "Like" my page so you can also keep up with the latest sessions going on: http://www.facebook.com/#!/pages/Angela-Sims-Photography/108516975899446.
I'm so excited to begin this venture with you!

My daily picture today is a shot of an isolated storm just south of Ooltewah, Tennessee. Oh yes, I love weather and nature photos! I would love to get into making post cards or even an inspirational photo book of my nature. Love it, love it, love it!
Love Always,
Angie
